OUR MISSION: To rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned
and neglected dogs, saving them from certain death in the local shelters.

You're adopted a TLC dog or puppy - Now what?

At TLC, we don't believe our involvement stops the moment you've signed that adoption contract and taken your new dog or puppy home with you.  If you have questions or concerns, we're but a phone call or email away.  And we LOVE getting new photos and updates as your new life with a TLC dog moves forward.  In 2010, we're already planning a TLC reunion and can't wait to see how the puppies have grown as well as the adult dogs' happy faces from finding their furever homes!

  • AKC - CGC: Have you thought about taking your new dog or pup through the 'Canine Good Citizen' program?  More details are HERE.  It's a great program and easy enough to do - most of the 10 point testing items are things you've already taught your pupper, and it will open up many doors of opportunities besides just creating a better age of canines with good manners!

  • Two good documents to read (pdf files):  Five things to do when your dog 'marks' in the house and What's that bad urine smell all of a sudden?

  • Bringing Up Puppy (FREE class) - (but it's just not for puppies only) Dr. Deena B. Case-Pall holds a free class on the first Monday evening of each month at 8:10PM (Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital, 1850 Thousand Oaks Blvd - call 805-491-2337 to reserve your place).  The free class is designed for those you have a puppy up to 5 months old, have their first dog (any age) or are thinking of getting a dog.  For more in-depth details, see the flyer HERE.

Keep up with the TLC news via our newsletter (archives are located HERE) - if you haven't been added to the email list yet, it is easy to do.  Add me
