This photo of her does not do her justice, but it is very hard to take a clear and decent photo of a black dog... Other than the blaze on her chest and the bit underneath her chin, Ebbie is jet black and shiny throughout her coat...

Ebbie quickly came around and warmed up, despite getting a bath immediately for she sure had that 'shelter funk smell'... Phew-eee... Ebbie became a shadow the first night, following us around and never allowing us to be too far out of her sight!

Ebbie has all the potential to be a cuddle bunny given a calm and loving environment... Not a barker, big dogs approaching her too rapidly will cause her to show her teeth, so it is a distinct possibility she was attacked by a BIG dog in her past... Her size (and a bit bigger) does not seem to bother her - just BIG and/or aggressive dogs who approach in that manner...

Despite her young age, Ebbie would do OK solo with a working owner who did not have outrageously long hours.  If not, she'd do better in a home with another canine companion who was not dominant in nature, but balanced and easy going too.

Ebbie is:

• Spayed

• Up-to-date on her shots INCLUDING rabies

• Licensed for the County of Ventura

• Activated microchip (not just implanted)

• Has a 1-year paid subscription to IDTag.com

• FYI - License, microchip registration and IDTag subscription transfer to the new adopting owner in the TLC adoption process - not all rescues provide these services in their adoption process, but licensing and microchip activation are proof of ownership, depending upon where you live.

To adopt, please download the adoption application from our website here and fax it to 805-578-2604.  TLC dogs can be seen and interacted with on Saturdays from noon to 3PM at the PETCO located in Moorpark.  During the week, an appointment to see the dogs can be made by calling either (805) 405-2765 or sending an email to TLC - we do home visits, 'greet & meets' and place dogs throughout the week by appointment only.

Puppies are not brought to adoptions until they've had their puppy shots for their own protection, safety and health reasons.  TLC is not a petshop - we are a rescue and ALL TLC dogs are living with our foster families until they are adopted.
