OUR MISSION: To rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned
and neglected dogs, saving them from certain death in the local shelters.

BeeGee is a 'Chi-Weenie'... half Chihuahua and half Dachshund.  She was bred to a Doxie and was unable to deliver her litter of only one puppy.  Left in labor for at least 12 hours or more, her owners eventually took her to an ER clinic where the cost of an emergency C-section and spay would have run $800, they decided that because she could no longer breed if this was done, they took her to a local shelter in Los Angeles.

Unable to save the pup as it had been too long in the birth canal, the vets did the best they could in the middle of the night and saved this precious little girl.  Sporting 67 metal sutures the entire length of her belly, BeeGee's rehabilitation was long and painful.

Viewed as 'unadoptable' by one family because she did not 'match the carpet' and another because of the slight scar on her forehead and 'lazy' tongue which sticks out from time to time, BeeGee eventually found her 'furever' home.

BeeGee 'wiggles' when she walks from the short Doxie legs and swaggers in just the cutest fashion ever!   She's an extremely loving little girl and while she's not a big jumper like most Chihuahuas are, she makes up for it all in personality!

Today she joins Frito in doing therapy work with seniors, where she'll hand out kisses like they are going out of style!  She loves getting dressed up and all the attention that gets her.  She and Frito are best buds and later on her adoption family learned she also has liver shunts.  She too is not a candidate for the surgery but is doing excellent on the same diet and meds as Frito is on.
