BeeGee
is a 'Chi-Weenie'... half Chihuahua and half
Dachshund. She was bred to a Doxie and
was unable to deliver her litter of only one
puppy. Left in labor for at least 12
hours or more, her owners eventually took her
to an ER clinic where the cost of an emergency
C-section and spay would have run $800, they
decided that because she could no longer breed
if this was done, they took her to a local
shelter in Los Angeles.
Unable to
save the pup as it had been too long in the
birth canal, the vets did the best they could
in the middle of the night and saved this
precious little girl. Sporting 67 metal
sutures the entire length of her belly,
BeeGee's rehabilitation was long and painful.
Viewed as
'unadoptable' by one family because she did
not 'match the carpet' and another because of
the slight scar on her forehead and 'lazy'
tongue which sticks out from time to time,
BeeGee eventually found her 'furever' home.
